I'm not sure that I've ever heard a Bob Marley tease in Hang Tan, but the guys drop Led Zeppelin teases all over the place. Very subtle, though, barely noticeable. These teases definitely keeps you on your toes...very cool to pick out and stuff.
As for TK not being a headlining band...we'll just have to see what becomes of that ;)

short and sweet
yes, great quality recording. Keep doin' your thang, Toubab.
Unfortunately, I doubt that TK will ever become a headlining act in the US (i wish they would, though) - they really seem like more of a festival type group. Well see, but whatever the case, I like em.
I always hear, but can never name that tease they do durring hang ten - can someone help me with that? (its on the tip of my tounge and kind of bugging me) is it from a Bob Marley tune?

the sound quality IS better than the Goombay rec.
This show was mid-afternoon at the Lexington Avenue Arts & Fun Festival (LAAFF) in Downtown Asheville. The band was smoking hot, and the crowd LOVED it.
Also, it was my baby girl's first exposure to live music - she was one month old. Special, special show for me and her mom...

The sound quality is much better than the
8-26-05 show @ Goombay Fest.
Toubab Krewe are a very talented group. They have an eclectic sound combining latin, reggae, surf rock and more. There's lots of constant percussion and a very tight overall sound.
Some talented musicians I know from upstate NY have seen Toubab live and speak very highly of them.
